Bible School for Pastors and Leaders
From the first days of staying in the city of Kitale, Kenya, we realized the enormous need for training pastors and church leaders of this country. This is especially acute in provincial churches. The problem of education is very critical. The culture of the church is strongly mixed with the paganism culture and people often do not understand the differences of one and the other.
Many pastors of new churches and leaders do not have the Bible, there is no clarity in the fundamentals of Christianity, in doctrinal aspects, in understanding the biblical basis for internal missionary activity. It is for this reason we began actively praying and searching for ways to launch a Christian education.
In result, as an answer to prayer, we received an invitation from one local association of churches to open a Bible school for their pastors and leaders. Also, within the existing local schools in our city, we were invited as teachers. We also discovered that God spoke to our friends, who are missionaries in India, through a dream, that they also must come to Kenya to begin the Bible school with us.
We obviously see God’s blessing in everything that surrounds us. In a very short time, in the district of Kitale, we have opened doors to more than 100 churches in the mountainous regions.
We need teams of ministers who can come for different lengths of a time and help in the training of pastors and people within the churches. Specifically to teach them the basics of Christianity and the sharing of their faith, as well as encourage them toward practical ministry and prayer for their districts.
